Katri Myllyniemi is a Helsinki-based screenwriter and director. In addition to documentaries she also works as a screenwriter in fiction series and films, and is also the chair of the Writers Guild of Finland. Both fiction and fact are close to her heart, and the best stories can be found in between. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Aalto University, where she majored in screenwriting and also studied directing. Previously she worked widely in film productions to master the craft. She has vast experience of working in film sets of both feature films and documentaries. As director she has done both short fiction and documentary films.
